This is a greenish-white, soft paste medicated to treat acne with oil-absorbing, soothing, and exfoliating properties.

In-shower treatment: apply to clean body skin prone to breakouts. Massage one minute, rinse thoroughly.
Mask treatment: apply thin layer to clean, dry body skin prone to breakouts. Allow to dry 5-10 minutes, rinse thoroughly.
Spot treatment: apply thin dab to pimple. Allow to dry several minutes, or overnight. Rinse gently.
Use 3-4 times per week as breakouts persist, then less often to prevent new ones. See Drug Facts panel for full details.

A Must for Treating Back & Chest Acne Despite reviews claiming otherwise, I knew going into this purchase that the Clearing Clay was going to smell like sulphur (as do all sulphur-based skincare products). The smell doesn't particularly bother me, and, even then, smelling sort of egg-y for a day is worth the results. My back and chest have never been clearer since using the Clearing Clay, which I use as a cleanser (x1/week), in conjunction with the Smoothing Solution (3x/week) on my chest. A little goes a long way, and sometimes I mix it into my CeraVe cleanser to make it easier to wash off. I've used it a few times on my face as well, and it does an excellent job at calming breakouts without causing dryness. I've had body acne most of my adult life, most prominently on my shoulder areas. I tend to wear a lot of tanks and I do get self conscious about it. I've started using the clay and my initial impressions is that it reduced the inflammation. After a few weeks, I had one pimple start to appear but I was able to get it to calm down, so that's good. (No scarring!) Application is a bit challenging tbh, and I wasn't sure how much to use at first, so I was a bit cautious. After increasing the amount, think that has helped. Using the apply shower method is faster but considering the shoulder area is a bit challenging to make sure I got it all. The mask approach was also interesting, I was able to do it a handful of times but the additional wait was a bit inconvenient. I usually shower right after I work out and since it says it requires a clean surface, I'd jump into the shower, soap and then jump out, dry off, apply and scroll IG for 5 minutes, then jump back in. Think there's better improvement but I'm not sure it'd be something I could always do, so do appreciate the multiple applications. *This person tested samples for three weeks pre-launch.
